Pulled pork sliders are the ultimate crowd-pleaser ā and the slow cooker does all the heavy lifting. Make a big batch on Saturday and you've got Father's Day weekend sorted.
Ingredients
- 1.2kg pork shoulder, bone-in or boneless
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- ½ cup tomato passata
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
To Serve
- 12 soft slider buns
- Coleslaw
- Pickles
- Hot sauce
Method
- Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Rub all over the pork.
- Sear pork in olive oil over high heat until browned on all sides.
- Place in slow cooker. Combine vinegar, passata, and Worcestershire sauce and pour over.
- Cook on LOW for 8ā10 hours or HIGH for 5ā6 hours until the meat falls apart easily.
- Shred with two forks, discarding any fat. Toss through the cooking juices.
- Pile onto slider buns with coleslaw, pickles, and a dash of hot sauce.
