Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Sliders

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Sliders

Pulled pork sliders are the ultimate crowd-pleaser — and the slow cooker does all the heavy lifting. Make a big batch on Saturday and you've got Father's Day weekend sorted.

Ingredients

  • 1.2kg pork shoulder, bone-in or boneless
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup tomato passata
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

To Serve

  • 12 soft slider buns
  • Coleslaw
  • Pickles
  • Hot sauce

Method

  1. Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Rub all over the pork.
  2. Sear pork in olive oil over high heat until browned on all sides.
  3. Place in slow cooker. Combine vinegar, passata, and Worcestershire sauce and pour over.
  4. Cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or HIGH for 5–6 hours until the meat falls apart easily.
  5. Shred with two forks, discarding any fat. Toss through the cooking juices.
  6. Pile onto slider buns with coleslaw, pickles, and a dash of hot sauce.
